On January 20, 2003, thirteen people were caught in an avalanche while ski touring with ACMG guide Ruedi Beglinger's Selkirk Mountain Experience, in which seven people were killed. Ken Wylie was an assistant guide for Beglinger on the slope that day. Wylie shares his journey to accept responsibility for the role he played on the slope that day in his newly republished book, BURIED. The link below is the report commissioned by the family of one of the deceased skiers. The recommendations made in this report are nearly identical to the recommendations made by VIRISTAR in an independent report in the aftermath of Massey's.
