The Preliminary Review Committee reviewed the complaint and concluded that a Conduct Review Hearing would not be held and that there would be no determination of whether there was a breach of the Code of Conduct. Rather, a "Proposed Remedy" was offered to the guides. The materials relied on to make this determination were never shared as 'they were given in confidence and there is a significant concern that future panels will be less able to gather evidence if people doubt that their submissions are confidential'. The complaint process was closed. With no opportunity to appeal.
In one correspondence with the ACMG president, in the notes of the document, she stated,
"I was toying with opening the door to Michelle, to suggest that if she has additional comments or concerns, it is possible to re-do the hearings; but I don’t know if I want to open that door.". The ACMG executive knows that there is move to this story. And I know it too.
